Mission
To broaden educational experiences by providing professional
assistance and coordinated activities to help students,
families, schools, and the community to meet the challenges
associated with health, academic achievement, personal, social,
and career development.
Goals of the Department
The Student Services Department will provide professional
services and coordinated activities to ensure compliance with
State and Federal mandates that impact health, academic
achievement, personal, social, and career development.
Department goals for the 2007 - 2008 school year include the
following:
- Appropriate student behaviors will increase as indicated
by the number of SESIR incidents per 10,000 decreasing 10%
from the previous year
- Student Services will achieve Quality Achievement Level
1, including 100% of administrators trained, 10% of staff
trained, completion of Systems Check 1, documentation of
department process with data to show need for improvement,
and share process relative to Section 504
- The District's dropout rate will decrease 1% point from
the previous year (3.5% to 2.5%)
- The percentage of "completed" Vision Referrals for KG,
G1, G3, and G6 will increase 10% from the previous year
- Student Records Department will maintain an average
turn-around time of less than 48 hours for records requests
